How to ge rid of BLACKHEADS or WHITEHEADS

A blackhead (BH) is a blackish bump or plug on the skin. A blackhead is a type of acne vulgaris. It is caused by excess oils that have accumulated in the sebaceous gland. Blackheads are also known as open comedo. They are tiny black dots on the nose area, ear, chin and even your back area. The substance found in these bumps mostly consists of keratin and sebum, which darkens as it oxidizes. Clogged pores, where blackheads often occur, reflect light irregularly to produce a blackhead's "black" hue.

In contrast, a "whitehead" (WH) is a pore that is filled with the same material, sebum, but lacks a microscopic opening to the skin surface. Since the air cannot reach the pores, the material is not oxidized, and remains white.

What caused blackheads or whiteheads? To get rid of BH or WH, it is important to know the caused of it and try to losing it. Some of the factors are:
  1. Less water in our body.
  2. Excess dead skin clogged the open pores.

  5. Excess scrub application on face.
  6. Using product/make up which contents of excess oil material.
  7. Anemia, constipation and poor digestion.

This is very important so that you will not experience bruising your skin. Another thing that you can do is to consult a dermatologist before using those tools. Clearasil products are good in removing BH n WH.

Facial steaming is one of the most home remedies for blackheads. Start by setting out a bowl of hot water [water is hot enough to create steam]
Steam your face by sitting close to the bowl. Don't burn yourself. HAHA. Make sure the towel covers your head so that most of the steam is captured in the area between the bowl and your face. The towel should hang loosely with plenty of folds for the hot air to escape around you and the bowl. Steam your face for about five minutes, allowing the steam to penetrate into your skin and allowing the pores to open wide.
When you are done steaming your face, immediately apply an exfoliating lotion to exfoliate the skin on your face and neck. When you are finished exfoliating your skin, wash your face with cold water. The cold water will cause the pores to close or shrink and keeping dirt from entering the pores again. :)

Home Remedies 1: Make Your Own Pore Strips - With Gelatin
These days, most people are having a huge problems with BH or WH. They have no choice other than buying pore strips at the drugstores. Some people can afford to buy it, and some don't. Cause it's expensive. But don't worry girls, you may also make your own pore strips. So, here are the steps: :)
  • Mix 1 tablespoon of gelatin (unflavored) and milk in a small bowl.
  • Mix everything properly and check the consistency. If you feel that the paste is dry or too fluid, add more milk or gelatin.
  • Take the bowl and place in the microwave for few seconds. Don't let it get too hot, just warm enough.
  • The paste will melt when you warm it. This is the perfect consistency as we have to apply it over the pores (on our skin).
  • To do so, use your clean fingers or a brush to spread the paste on your nose, cheek, or wherever the BH or WH are.
  • Let the strip dry for as long as it takes (no more than 15 minutes).
  • Gently peel the strip off. It won't hurt too much as it compared to the drugstore strips.
  • Wash face properly with cold water and apply a toner that isn't sensitive to your skin type.
  • Pat your face dry with clean towel.
  • And that's it, you're done.

Home Remedies 2: Make Your Own Pore Strips - Without Gelatin

  • Brush the mixture onto the cotton strips and pat it over the BH or WH.
  • Let it dry for about 15 minutes. Once it dries, slowly peel the strip off.
